Shenzhen Swimming & Diving Gymnasium

The gymnasium is located in the sports center of Shenzhen. The main hall is consisted of a competition pool in FINA standard, a diving pool and a short distance training pool. A wave-shaped glass brick wall, is added to the jumping stage, providing a dramatic effect when athletes traverse through the hole on this wall and arrives at the stage. The rope-truss system is the most significant parts of this project. The roof of the main hall is compounded of a chief truss, which has a shape of waved shuttle, and four secondary truss girders in the perpendicular direction.
